Resolution
The number of pixel a projector is capable of displaying determines its resolution. The more the pixels the crispier the image will be. High resolutions are important especially for home projectors because the user will sit closer to the screen. High resolution projector allows the user to sit close to the screen without getting pixilated image.

Contrast ratio
The difference between the brightest and darkest areas of a picture is known as contrast. A quiet projector that has high contrast ration will allow you to see a well defined shadow detail adding a sense of dimension and depth to the picture.

Lens shift and keystone correction
Lens shift allows the user to mechanically adjust the angle of the lens by shifting the lens up, down or sideways.
Because it’s almost impossible to place the projector perpendicular to the screen, keystone correction in this case corrects distortion by adjusting the image to be displayed as perfect square on the screen/wall.
Keystone correction is available in almost every projector. Lens shift is only available on high end home projectors and its mostly helpful if you will be install the projector semi-permanently.
